Resources for Assistive Technology

At IDA-PA, we are committed to providing resources that help individuals with dyslexia, or those supporting them, succeed academically and personally. Assistive Technology (AT) is becoming increasingly prominent and accessible, offering tools designed specifically to support those with dyslexia in their daily tasks and educational goals.

One of our partner branches, IDA-Oregon (IDA-OR), has curated an excellent list of assistive technology options and created a helpful infographic to guide you in selecting the right tools.

Additionally, the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity offers a dedicated page on Tools and Technology, which highlights several cutting-edge AT solutions.

We also recommend exploring the following tools:

  • dyslexi.co: A platform designed to support dyslexics through education and personalized learning strategies.
  • Otter Transcribe: An advanced transcription tool that can assist with note-taking, making it easier to capture and review spoken information.
  • Grammarly: A widely-used writing assistant that provides grammar and spell-check support, helping dyslexics enhance their written communication.

Explore these options to discover which tools work best for you or your student.
